Zurich Australia CEO Justin Delaney Appointed to Insurance Council Board

Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) today welcomed the appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Justin Delaney, to the board of the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) as a non-executive director.

Zurich has been a member of the ICA since 1983 and served on the board as recently as 2021.

Mr Delaney said: “Zurich has a proud history of working closely with the ICA and I am delighted to be able to strengthen this association through our representation on the board.”

“As the only major composite – life and general – insurer in the market, Zurich is in a unique position to understand the needs and issues affecting both individuals and businesses across the country. I look forward to sharing Zurich’s perspectives as we work together to shape positive outcomes for consumers, communities and members,” Mr Delaney said.

Mr Delaney has served as Chief Executive Officer of Zurich since July 2021. He has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, holding various senior executive positions. He also holds board positions with the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI) and the Financial Services Council (FSC).
