What does the recruitment process look like?

1. Online Application

Submit your application via the Zurich Careers Page. If your skills and experience align with the criteria of the role, a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will connect with you.

2. Interview

If you have been shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a virtual or in person interview. Depending on the role, you may be required to complete additional assessments during the interview process. This will be confirmed by your Talent Acquisition Team.

3. References and Background Screening

If you’re successful following the interview process, we will request references and initiate background screening. Our references are completed through Xref and our background screening is completed through Fit2Work.

4. Offer

Welcome to Zurich! A verbal offer will be extended followed by an employment contract.

Do you have questions?

The recruitment process varies for each role. Typically, our Talent Acquisition Consultants will review your application and CV against the key criteria of the role you've applied for. If you meet this criteria, you'll be contacted to complete a phone screen to determine suitability to the role. Depending on the phone screen outcome, you will then be asked to attend a series of interviews to assess your experience, achievements, capabilities, and cultural fit.

If you're successful for the role, you'll need to complete certain background and reference checks prior to receiving a verbal offer from the Talent Acquisition team.

When you've submitted your online application, you'll receive an automated email confirming that we've received your application. Our Talent Acquisition team will then contact you to inform you if your application is successful to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process. Or you will be notified by email if you have been unsuccessful in the initial stages for a particular role.

If you don't receive a confirmation email of your application after your application has been submitted, please check any other email folders, in particular your junk email folder.

All candidates need to submit their application online via the Zurich careers website. You will either need to log in to your account or create a new account with a valid email address and password if this is your first application. If it is your first application to a job with the Zurich – welcome and good luck. As Zurich is a great place to work!

Please submit your application by the advertised closing date and time, as any late applications for an advertised vacancy will not be able to be processed online and therefore may not be accepted.

A cover letter can be good for providing some extra information beyond what's on your resume, however, it's not compulsory. In some cases, it is good to outline why you want to work for Zurich, why you’re interested in the role you are applying to, and what you would bring to a role that aligns to the role criteria. It is entirely up to you!

Absolutely! You can apply for more than one position with Zurich – just check that you meet the eligibility criteria for each job that you apply for, and that it is in line with your career aspirations.

You can check the status of your application by logging in to your applicant portal via the Zurich careers website, and you'll be able to view the status of your current application.

If a job advertisement no longer appears on the website, it means the role is either at the interview stage of the process and we are no longer accepting anymore applications, or the role has been filled by a successful applicant and the job is now closed. You can also join our join our Talent Community and stay connected on upcoming opportunities and events. Simply enter your e-mail and tell us a bit about yourself.

The system will share back roles that meet the category of the filter you have selected. If there is no role which meets the category you've selected (e.g., you have selected location ‘Perth’ and we have no roles currently available in Perth), then no results will show. If you can't find the right role advertised now, it is likely that new roles will become available soon.
