Zurich welcomes advice reforms
Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) today welcomed the announcement by the Assistant Treasurer to expand access to quality and affordable advice across the financial services sector.
Justin Delaney, Chief Executive Officer, Zurich Australia & New Zealand said: “Once implemented, these reforms will create immediate benefits for consumers and the broader economy.”
“The proposed package strikes an appropriate balance, prioritising consumer protections whilst also recognising significant unmet financial advice needs and a widening insurance protection gap.”
These needs are all the more acute given significant impending structural economic, demographic and social shifts,” Mr Delaney said.
Zurich looks forward to working collaboratively with the Government and the Parliament to legislate these important reforms.
