Zurich Australia announces leadership appointment to Life & Investments’ Group Insurance team

 

Thursday, 20 January 2022: Zurich Life & Investments has today announced the appointment of Ahmad Racheha as Head of Digital and Member Engagement; a newly created senior leadership position within the Group Insurance team. Commencing in February 2022, Ahmad will report to Darren Wickham, who leads the Group Insurance business.

Before joining Zurich, Ahmad was the Head of Digital at Aware Super, Australia’s second-largest super fund. He has over 20 years’ experience driving business innovation, leading digital transformations, and managing online channels across a range of industries.

Commenting on the appointment, Darren Wickham said, “Ahmad’s deep experience in using technology to engage customers will help our super fund partners to engage their own members. In a post stapling world, insurance remains one of the main reasons employees do not change fund, so ensuring that members understand and make informed choices about their insurance is more important than ever.

“Ahmad’s innovation background will take our market leading technology to the next level, and assist us in bringing Zurich’s scale and global capabilities for the benefit of our Group Insurance partners and their members,” said Mr Wickham.

At Aware Super, Ahmad was responsible for leading the fund’s digital transformation journey. He was also previously “Entrepreneur in Residence” at Westpac innovation hub “The Garage” and Head of eCommerce & online Marketing at BUPA.
