Shaneen Marshall

Shaneen joined Zurich in January 2021.

Before joining Zurich, Shaneen worked at TAL, FNB/FirstRand Group as well as PwC’s Actuarial Practice in South Africa working across general insurance, life insurance, health and banking. She held Chief Risk Officer, Product Head, M&A integration director and actuarial roles and has experience in setting up new divisions/businesses, leading large technology projects, end-to-end new proposition development, risk management, strategy & M&A, pricing, capital management and valuations.

At Zurich, Shaneen has been responsible for leading strategy practice, driving Zurich’s operating model & culture transformation, spearheading sustainability initiatives and most recently leading the technology team.

Shaneen holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, is Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia and holds a Cambridge business transition to net zero certificate.
