Blain Waterford

Head of Travel, Australia and New Zealand

Blain Waterford leads Zurich’s travel insurance business in Australia & New Zealand, which includes Cover-More and Travel Guard. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in global consumer insurance, with a strong track record in driving growth, transformation and customer-focused distribution strategies across multiple international markets.

Prior to joining Zurich, Blain was Global Head of Direct & Digital Marketing and Accident & Health Partnerships at AIG, where he led direct distribution across international markets spanning accident and health, personal lines and travel insurance products.

Earlier in his career, he held a range of senior leadership roles at Chubb and predecessor ACE, including APAC Regional Head of Direct Marketing, Head of Retail - Australia & New Zealand and Chief Operating Officer in Thailand and Korea.
