Daniel Longden is the Head of Strategy and Propositions, Zurich’s Life and Investments. He oversees the development and implementation of strategy and key initiatives, as well as proposition management and development across Zurich’s life risk and investments portfolios.
Daniel joined Zurich in October 2016 and brings with him 20 years’ financial services experience. He most recently held the role of Head of Commercial Management at Macquarie Life, managing the product and actuarial teams, and was also a member of the Macquarie Life board. He has also held senior roles at Asteron, including Chief Actuary ANZ, as well as CFO for Australia.
Daniel is a respected and well-known leader in the Australian insurance industry, with complementary skills and knowledge across strategy, propositions, business development and service. He is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia and holds a BA(Hons) First Class in Economics and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield.
