2022-2023 EOFY – Zurich Customer FAQs

We will provide you with:

  • An Insurance Premium Summary if you have an Income Protection policy and the total premium paid during the 2022-2023 financial year is greater than zero;

or

  • An Annual Statement if you have a lump sum policy held in super (*) and the policy is still in force at 30 June 2023.

(*) However, for members of the Zurich Insurance-only Superannuation Plan (ZIOSP):

The administrator of this Plan will send you:

  • A ‘Notice of intent to claim a tax deduction for personal super contributions’ (Section 290-170 Notice) from late July if:
    • You have made personal contributions during the 2022-2023 financial year which are still held by the Trustee at 30 June 2023; and
    • Your policy is still in force at 30 June 2023.
  • An Annual Member Statement from late August if your policy is still in force at 30 June 2023.

We are working hard to ensure you receive your 2022-2023 Insurance Premium Summary. We are experiencing a delay for some customers and expect all customers to be sent their documents by the end of August.

We are working hard to ensure you receive your 2022-2023 Annual Statement. We are experiencing a delay for some customers and expect all customers to be sent their documents by mid-end October 2023.

The Insurance Premium Summary can be used to complete your 2022-2023 tax return. However, the information contained in this Summary does not constitute tax advice and we recommend you seek independent tax advice specific to your personal circumstances, from a registered accountant/tax agent.

You can login or register here to the customer portal, My Zurich, to access a copy of your 2022-2023 end of financial year document(s).

These document(s) will be available in the portal within a few days after we have sent the document to you.

You can login or register here to the customer portal, My Zurich, to obtain a copy of the 2022-2023 financial year document(s) that Zurich has sent you:

After logging in:

  • Navigate to the Insurance section, select your policy and look for Documents.
  • In the Documents drop down menu, select Correspondence to display the past 12 months of correspondence in relation to the selected policy number.
  • Select either:
    • Insurance Premium Summary or Tax Deduction Notice T2 (*)
      or
    • Annual Statement or Term Life Annual Statements TL (*)

You will only see the end of financial year documents that are relevant to you.

(*) You will only see one or the other; the document naming differs by product.

Remember a copy of your document(s) will be available in My Zurich a few days after we have sent it to you.

While you are in My Zurich you can update your mailing address or any other contact details that might not be correct.

Please note that even if you have notified Zurich of your new mailing address, email address or changed your preference for how you like to receive correspondence regarding your policy, it is possible that we could send your end of financial year document(s) using your old details.

This can happen if you notify us of this change after we have commenced our end of year processing. Remember, you can log into My Zurich to get a copy of your document(s).

Yes, your financial adviser is able to access a copy of any of the documents we send you, by logging in or registering for the adviser portal that Zurich provides for them.

These documents will be available to your financial adviser in our adviser portal a few days after we have sent the document to you.

NOTE: If you are a member of the Zurich Insurance-only Superannuation Plan (ZIOSP), further information is instead available by contacting the super trustee via Insurance & Superannuation Administration Services Pty Ltd:

Any premium payment that we process after 30 June 2023 will be included in your 2023-2024 end of financial year document(s) and not the 2022-2023 end of financial year document(s).

  • Contact your financial adviser; or
  • Login to My Zurich to see information about your policy, access the self-service functions or take advantage of the many other features; or
  • Contact our Customer Care team on 131 551, weekdays 08:30am - 7:00pm AEST (Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm).

If the total premium you paid in the period 1 July 2022 – 30 June 2023 is greater than zero we will send you this Summary, even if your policy is no longer in force at 30 June 2023.

No your policy must be in force at 30 June 2023 for us to send you an Annual Statement for your policy.
