Business Expenses claims

Provides a benefit of up to 100 per cent of monthly eligible business expenses averaged over the previous 12 months. The life insured will be eligible for a benefit when they are receiving an Income benefit or a Specified injury benefit.  You must determine that the life insured has been or is likely to be totally or partially disabled for longer than the waiting period.

Step 1: Ensure the claimant has the following

  • Completed Business expenses claim form (which must also be signed by the life insured's accountant)
  • Copies of business expense invoices for the relevant period for which the claim is being made (refer to policy for eligible business expenses)
  • Results of any tests with regard to the life insured's medical condition.

Step 2: Complete claim forms

Print out the claim forms and have the relevant party complete them.
