Independent thinking on… the value of advice

Zurich has always believed in the value of advice, and in the professionals who provide it.

There is undoubtedly a lack of understanding and appreciation in the broader community of the value of financial advice. This is at odds with the perceptions of advice clients who are very satisfied – and increasingly so – with their advisers across a number of key metrics.

Research proves value of life insurance advice

Zurich research quantifies the extent to which advised clients are more ‘life insurance literate’. The results of our Life Insurance Literacy Index Study offers tangible proof that financial advisers are highly effective at educating consumers about life insurance.

Independent thinking on… Innovation

At Zurich we are constantly looking at ways we can improve and innovate.

Innovation in play

For many years, Zurich has championed the role that technology plays in progressing the life insurance and advice sector. For this reason, our own innovation agenda has been to use, create and champion those technologies, which support advisers in the following ways:

  • To improve client engagement – so that from the first client contact all the way through to a claim, the service experience is consistently fast and efficient but also goes the extra mile in terms of making the client feel empowered and looked after.
  • To share and champion best-practice, creating communities where advisers can interact, and, more broadly, to spread the word about the value of advice.
  • To help predict and navigate ongoing and long-term change.

With an understanding of the overall outcomes, here are just some of the ways that Zurch has used innovation to support advisers
