Zurich has agreed to sell its NSW CTP portfolio to the Enstar Group, a specialist in insurance run-off management.

We anticipate that in the first half of 2018, subject to regulatory approval, Enstar Australia will begin to manage Zurich’s CTP Green Slip claims on behalf of Zurich before the portfolio is transferred later in 2018 following regulatory and court approval.

Zurich announced in December 2015 that we would cease offering CTP Green Slips in NSW on 1 March 2016.

This proposed sale gives confidence in CTP claims care for our policy-holders, brokers and claimants.

Continuity for claimants and policy-holders

The transfer of the CTP portfolio to the Enstar Group will be seamless for our claimants and policy-holders.

Zurich will make the necessary arrangements without any action required by policy-holders, claimants or other parties to a claim.

Zurich continues to be responsible for our NSW CTP policies until the proposed sale receives regulatory and court approval.

We will write to NSW CTP policy-holders when we are seeking Court approval for the transfer of the NSW CTP portfolio to Gordian RunOff Ltd, which is an Australian authorised insurer and a subsidiary of the Enstar Group.

Our contact details will remain the same until the transfer of the portfolio is finalised.

Since 1 March 2016 our activities in CTP Green Slips in NSW have been dedicated to managing claims.

The last Zurich NSW CTP policies expired on 31 March 2017.

What is not changing

Zurich’s proposed sale of its CTP portfolio in NSW does not impact other Zurich policies in place.

We remain committed to offering commercial motor insurance and motor fleet insurance.
