Meet this years finalists!

Simone Du Chesne: EQ Wealth, Sydney NSW

Simone Du Chesne is the principal of two Sydney practices, EQ Wealth and Quantum Wealth and has spent ten of the past 12 years as a financial adviser. Prior to this, Simone worked for two years as head of product for fashion Jewellery retain chain DIVA and 15 years as Global Design Director, Sheridan Australia.

Simone holds a Master’s of Financial Planning from Kaplan. She enjoys solving clients financial problems and providing solutions which give peace of mind. Simone says her previous roles in product and marketing have developed an ability to always see things from the customers’ perspective.

Joseph Hoe: Wealthwise, Perth WA

Joseph Hoe is senior financial adviser at Wealthwise, a financial planning practice in Osborne Park, Perth. Prior to this, Joseph was a senior financial adviser at People’s Choice Credit Union for six years. Working in the financial services industry since 1998, Joseph holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, FCPA, CFP and a Masters of Tax from Curtin University of Technology. He is also a Justice of the Peace (WA).

In 2017 he attended Wharton University of Pennsylvania’s Aresty’s Institutes Executive Education Growth and Innovation Program for financial advice.

Joseph’s passion for financial advice comes from educating and empowering his clients to make smart financial decisions to achieve their financial independence and successful lifestyle and retirement goals. He believes in striving to be the best he can be in financial advice and giving back to communities and his profession.

Elliot Watson: Elliot Watson Financial Planning, Sydney NSW

Elliot Watson is Managing Partner and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) at Elliot Watson Financial Planning and Singleton Financial Planning in NSW.

Prior to this, Elliot was a CFP at Rethink Financial Group for nine years. He joined the financial services industry in 2007 and along with his CFP accreditation, holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Newcastle and a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Financial Services from Kaplan. He is an accredited Aged Care Professional and a Justice of the Peace.

Elliot’s desire to provide unique, comprehensive and personalised services to clients in the Newcastle and Hunter communities drives his passion for financial advice. He enjoys helping his clients to achieve more – more enjoyment, more freedom, more security – through creating wealth and minimising financial risk.

“United” – a mantra we can all get behind

We are excited to introduce you to the three finalists in the running for the prestigious 2019 AFA Adviser of the Year awards. It is a privilege to again part of the judging panel, being part of the rigorous process and meeting all of the inspiring finalist is something I truly enjoy experiencing firsthand. We look forward to announcing the winner in conjunction with the AFA at the 2019 National Adviser Conference in Adelaide on the 29th of August. The theme for this year’s conference is “United” a mantra the whole industry can rally behind. I hope to see many of you there!
