Zurich Superannuation Plan

Whether you are looking for a superannuation plan for individuals to make personal contributions, or to invest a rollover, or for employers to meet their compulsory superannuation obligations, the Zurich Superannuation Plan is a convenient, flexible and competitive product that can be used.

Zurich Superannuation Plan offers your clients a choice of investment options ranging from the more conservative cash option through to Australian and Global Thematic share options. The product is flexible because of the wide scope investors have with regard to the level of contribution, the type of contribution, insurance options, including Income Replacement, and investment choices.

In addition, Zurich Superannuation Plan provides flexible remuneration options for the adviser including dial up and down trail, and the facility to negotiate an Adviser Service Fee or a Member Advice Fee with clients.

Features

Competitive fees and charges
  • Reducing ongoing charges for account balances when they exceed $100,000 and $250,000. The reduction applies to the TOTAL account balance and not just the portion over the threshold.
  • Free switching between investment options.

Extensive choice of investments You can choose a combination of investment alternatives to create an overall investment strategy that meets your client's needs.

Flexible payment option Payments can be made by:
  • Direct debit from a bank, building society or credit union account
  • Cheque direct to Zurich
  • BPAY (not available for initial contribution).

Types of contributions The plan accepts:
  • Employer contributions (either compulsory or voluntary contributions)
  • Personal contributions
  • Self-employed contributions
  • Spouse contributions
  • Compulsory superannuation contributions
  • Rollovers or transfers from other funds
  • Government co-contributions

Contribution flexibility Once the client has made their initial investment ($150 per month or a single investment of $2,500) there is no minimum additional contribution requirement.

Protection of benefits
To ensure your clients are providing complete financial protection for themselves and their family, they also have the ability of adding valuable insurance against death, death and total and permanent disability and loss of income (Income Replacement).

For further peace of mind, premiums for this valuable cover are automatically deducted monthly from their account balance.

Binding nominations
All members of the Zurich Master Superannuation Fund have access to the binding nomination feature. The main reason for making a binding death benefit nomination is for greater certainty (subject to certain legal requirements). It enables members to nominate who gets what in the event of their death. This can result in more efficient estate planning and can also prevent any disputes over death benefits.
